I want to clarify the fact that I don't only listen to music that is classified as Christian. Yes, it is sweet when you know the group is Christian, but I also can appreciate some really awesome music that isn't under that classification.

A couple days ago I bought the new Jonny Lang CD. Jonny's music is Blues/Alternative. I have only had a chance to listen to it once, but it is so sweet! The songs are about the love of Jesus and how there is still hope for those that are struggling. It is really cool to hear these lyrics from someone that is classified as a Christian artist. I would highly recommend this CD for any Blues fans out there. Unfortunately, Jonny's CDs do not do his abilities any justice. He is an amazing guitar player. Mae is one band that I could listen to at anytime. You don't need to be in a certain mood to jam along with them. Mae is kind of a pretty sounding rock band or a pop band with a rock edge. I don't know of any one band to compare them to. One might compare them to Augustana, Anberlin, or Something Corporate. Whenever I start talking to people about what bands I like I always make sure to bring up Mae. It almost never fails that the people like Mae. They are just an overall good band.
